About the Practitioner

Practice Philosophy

After moving to the US from Amsterdam in August 2009, I started questioning my career in mental health care and looking at what was most valuable to me at that time. Helping people with their mental health, physical health, personal growth, spiritual well being?

I decided to choose massage therapy, a profession what would bring quality and depth to the therapist-client relationship.

The most profound insights I got from trainings, workshops and retreats went back to emotional bodywork. I learned that touch is a basic human need and can be a very powerful way to treat people who suffer from even emotional difficulties. In today’s world, technology has reduced the amount of physical contact that people have with each other on a daily basis. Touch is a powerful method of communication, essential to the health and well being of our emotional, physical and mental development. Touch = Healing.

My mission statement

My fundamental reason for doing massage is my passion for helping clients reconnect to the body in a very concrete manner, creating a healthy physical state of being where they can thrive.

My personal goal is to make a difference.

I intend to offer massage that is effective, yet respectful of the client's personal boundaries,
so that the experience is relaxing and energizing for the client.
