Investing in massage is an investment in your health!

Bodywork Modalities that we may utilize in their sessions with you:

  • Deep Tissue Massage:

Deep Tissue Massage is designed to access the deeper layers of muscle and connective tissue to help release chronic tension, decrease pain and facilitate faster recovery from injury. Deep Tissue Massage techniques are generally designed for more focused massage work.  Working a specific joint, muscle or muscle groups, the practitioner can access deep layers of the soft tissue. Starting superficially and slowly easing into the depth of the muscle often allows for more movement. This technique is excellent for treating injuries and can help release chronic tension.

  • Swedish / Relaxation

Ideal for overall relaxation and health maintenance, this popular style of massage combines long strokes, kneading and friction techniques.  It can help to improve circulation, revitalize stagnant energy and offer release from general muscle and nervous system tension.

  • Trigger Point Therapy / Neuromuscular Technique

This technique consists of applying concentrated pressure to painful, irritated areas in muscles to break cycles of spasm and pain. It works with the relationship between soft tissue and the nervous system.

  • Sports Massage

Designed to help prevent injuries, enhance performance and promote rehabilitation for athletes, Sports Massage can include soft tissue massage, stretching techniques and gentle range of motion exercises to restore function to muscles and joints before, during and following sporting events. The depth and pace of the massage session can vary depending on the activity level, duration and event timing.

  • Myofascial Release

Myofascial Release is a deep tissue technique that focuses on the connective tissue that surrounds muscles, bones and organs. Myofascial Release can be gentle or rigorous (depending on the need) and is an excellent choice for many conditions, including postural distortions, chronic pain and fibromyalgia.

  • Pregnancy Massage

Pregnancy massage can be an excellent way to reduce swelling, joint pain and tension in the low back, neck and shoulders that is common during pregnancy. Side-lying and “propping” techniques are used to ensure the comfort and safety of both mother and baby.

  • Reflexology

Reflexology is a spa treatment where the therapist works on "reflex points" on your feet, hands, and head. The theory behind reflexology is that these reflex points relate to specific organs and glands in the body, and stimulating those points with finger pressure promotes health in those organs and glands via the body's energetic pathways.

Reflexology is a deeply relaxing treatment with benefits that can be felt throughout the body. The therapist will use various techniques that include holds, finger pressure, kneading, rotation and rubbing.

  • Hot Stone Massage

Hot stone massage is a specialty massage where the therapist uses smooth, heated stones, either as an extension of their own hands, or by placing them on the body while they massage other parts of the body. The heat can be both deeply relaxing and help warm up tight muscles so the therapist can work more deeply, more quickly.
